The gardener is the most important element in any garden, the decisions you make as to the placement of certain plants will have an effect on the surrounding plants as well as the health on later placements ( plant/crop rotation)

Biomolecules produced by plants are released into the enviroment and these influence the growth and development of neighbouring plants (Allepathy)

The importance of creating a balanced order. “A holistic approach”

Using nature to find examples of systems that work.
While observing the various natural systems that are present on our planet and the elements that are set up in them, what we will see is that a forest is the most productive out of them all. It is in every sense of the word ecologically sustainable.( That is if left alone) Here we ask the question why? What does the system have that makes it ecologically sustainable. The obvious  answer is that every level supports life. From the treetops to the microorganisms in the ground, life thrives
“The system is in balance” each level supports a huge collection of plant life, animals, birds, Insects, etc and there is no lack of bio-diversity.. Each has its place in the cycle of death and life. Each element is connected to and dependent on another, living in a symbiotic relationship. The entire system is systainable. Desturbing/removing or adding a element ,  would effect the others in a chain reaction to the detriment of all. (We have enough examples of this imbalance taking place all over the world )
In our gardens we would use these examples from nature to create ecologicly sustainable systems. Ie  Reintroduction of bio diversity. This does not only mean plant species, but also micrororganisms, worms, birds, various preditor species of insects ,all by providing suitable habitats for them. What we would try to do is to create “food forests”.
